It is not surprising that most people love owls, and it is also not surprising that most people never get to see them or indeed know where to find them. So little is known about these beautiful birds. Can you name the five breeding species of owls that live in Britain? Do you know how many breeding pairs of Barn Owls there are in Britain? These and many more questions are answered on my talks as well as questions posed by you the audience. My talks are packed full of information on these birds, such as numbers left in the wild, nesting sites, diet, and why these silent hunters are so good at what they do. Unlike many other speakers, my shows involve the use of live owls rather than photographs and slide shows as I feel that the audience can look at a photograph anywhere, how often do you get the chance to see the real thing? Each talk is tailored to the audience it is being delivered to, school visits are targeted at National Curriculum Key stages one, two and three, whilst adult talks are aimed at the older spectator.
